Did it all start with an apple?

It’s a well understood phenomenon that men are from Mars and women are from Venus. Or is it the other way around? In any case, there is an unwritten code among men when sharing what we REALLY think about women. So, I decided to ask a few men about some of their pet peeves when it comes to the women in their life–whether it’s their wife, girlfriend or woman friend. To keep my counter partners out of harm’s way, I have chosen not to disclose their names. You know, for security purposes! We selected the top 10 most common pet peeves among local men and decided to share them with you. So enjoy the comments and ladies well...you might want to take some of these comments into consideration.

We always have to wait on them–always!
She complains about everything but doesn’t take advice from anybody!
I hate when she leaves her stuff lying around everywhere for days!
She can’t make her mind up on anything and then argues about it like it’s my fault!
She jumps to conclusions and assumptions without knowing all the facts!
She loves to make plans without consulting me and then we are stuck dealing with our guests…ugh!
She never takes my word for it. She always has to ask for a second opinion like it’s a medical problem!
She is so overly sensitive or emotional. I can’t say anything without getting the puppy eyes and “chipilezas”!
If we are sitting down watching the fight, don’t ask us to “come here.” We are watching the fight!
Going shopping, especially for clothes, takes forever and a day and she only comes out with one outfit!

So it boils down to the famous complaint of the toilet seat being left up constantly. Doesn’t it take the same amount of effort for us to put it down as for women to put it up? We don’t ask you to put the seat up for us when you are finished. Why do we have to put it down for you?

Since the beginning of time, as men we say and do dumb things, but–as noted above–women are not immune. I know that this one article will not change the world or the battle of the sexes, and ladies, you know that we love you as you are, but if even one woman changes just one of the peeves listed above, you would make at least two of us very happy.
